HAEMR at BIDMC

The Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) is a three-year program (PGY-1 to PGY-3). The residency is centered at BIDMC’s Level I trauma center, which treats approximately 57,000 patients each year. Residents also rotate at Boston Children's Hospital, South Shore Hospital's pediatric emergency department, and nearby community hospitals including Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham, Mount Auburn Hospital, Signature Healthcare-Brockton Hospital, Cambridge Health Alliance, and St. Luke's Hospital. This program also takes advantage of the unique academic opportunities at Harvard Medical School, the Harvard teaching hospitals and the Harvard School of Public Health.

Applications must be on file by December 15 of the preceding July for entry into the program. BIDMC HAEMR participates in the National Resident Matching Program.
