We are the Chief Residents for 2025–2026 and are thrilled that you're interested in learning more about our program. What makes our program truly special is the people—we hope that shines through as you explore our website.

Our residency is a unique three-year academic program based in Boston, with an optional, guaranteed fourth year that offers additional opportunities for professional growth. This fourth year allows residents to pursue fellowships or focused interests with the strong mentorship and support of our faculty—helping to launch successful careers in both community and academic emergency medicine.

The supportive and collaborative culture here at BIDMC is what truly sets us apart. Our close-knit community includes not just residents, but also our amazing colleagues in nursing, pharmacy, and ED tech—many of whom we enjoy spending time with outside of work.
