Residency Application Process
Starting in 2025, the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency will accept complete applications through the ResidencyCAS system. Contact your student affairs or other designated dean's office for instructions.

All applications must be complete and on file as of December 15 of the year preceding the July entry into

the program. Our leadership team is committed to a comprehensive, holistic review of all applications. Interviews are by appointment only. The BIDMC Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency participates in the National Resident Matching Program. Applicants are required to complete their application agreement form in time for the match.

Interviews will be held from October through January. In accordance with national guidelines, all interviews will be held virtually via Zoom.

We will be holding optional, in-person second look opportunities in February. Note that these visits are entirely optional and will not have any influence on our rank list. These dates will offer an opportunity to meet with residency leadership, tour the BIDMC Emergency Department, have lunch with our current residents, and an evening social event.
